Is an Upright Bike Different from a Spin Bike?
These bikes are equally effective in building cardio and strength. However, they are used for different training styles. Upright bikes are designed for longer duration cycling, whereas spin bikes are often used for high intensity workouts.

Is an Upright Bike Suitable for Rehab?
While upright bikes are comfortable due to the seat and the fact that you don’t need to lean over, like on a spin bike, recumbent bikes are best for rehabilitation. Upright bikes are further from the ground and require more balance. Recumbent bikes, on the other hand, are easier to get on and offer back support.

Can You Do HIIT on an Upright Bike?
Yes, it’s possible, but the spin bike is more suited to that purpose.
